Getting dressed up is beginning to be somewhat of a challenge at 22 weeks prego. Even though I still fit into most of my clothes they obviously don't fit or feel the same once I put them on. I'm a big fan of jeans and miss wearing some of my favorite pairs, but being pregnant has helped me to start wearing more of my flowy dresses and skirts that rarely see the outside of my closet. This past Saturday the fiancé and I had a date night at Pubbelly Sushi on South Beach. I wore an Alexis dress, Urban Outfitters blazer, and Zara booties. I love this look because it was very comfy and still stylish.

LUXE Life: Orchid
This past Sunday two of my very good friends and I went to see the burlesque show Orchid in the Miami Design District. It was a great show where Moulin Rouge met Cirque du Soleil. The performers mixed aerial acrobatics with burlesque. From the moment you entered you felt as if you had been transported from Miami. The music was fantastic they had some original pieces and mixed in some iconic songs from the 80's until today. The show is still going until February 3rd and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend going before the show moves to another city.

Simple Pleasures
Sometimes the greatest things in life are simple and can easily brighten up one's day. A couple of things that I absolutely love and bring a smile to my face are pretty notepads and Starbucks Java Chip Fraps.

Something Blue
I absolutely love weddings! They are the perfect occasion to dress up and bring out your most beloved pieces. This past Saturday I had a wedding to attend at Villa Woodbine in Coconut Grove. The villa was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for the wedding reception. Huge oak trees lit up with lights and hanging lanterns lined the back, the centerpieces were elegant and not over the top, and the ambiance was absolute perfection.
After waiting to the very last minute to decide what to wear I chose this amazing royal blue lace dress by ALEXIS that showed off my baby bump for the first time. My belly finally popped this week so I was really excited to show it off. Although I was nervous to wear a form fitting dress I felt really confident in it and received tons of compliments. Just because you're preggers doesn't mean you need to dress like a tent and not experiment with fashion. I feel like this is the perfect time for me to try new things and not be afraid of taking risks. I also wore Prada cut out pumps, a House of Harlow clutch, and a beautiful Stella and Dot cuff.

2013: New Year, New Beginnings
2013 is gearing up to be an incredible year for me. Not only will I become a wife, but a mother as well! I'm excited for this upcoming year and all it has to bring. It is truly a year of new beginnings and huge milestones for me. Unlike most who think that 13 is an unlucky number I feel it will turn out to be a very lucky year for me and my family. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2013!

LUXE Life: Fashion Fairy Tales
I recently discovered London based author Camilla Morton. Morton has creatively re-imagined popular fairy tales and given them a fashion twist. Her latest book, Diane von Furstenberg and the Tale of The Empress's New Clothes, is a collaboration with one of my idols Diane von Furstenberg. The book takes you through Diane's journey from childhood to becoming one of the industries biggest fashion empresarios all while telling the tale of The Emperor's New Clothes. The beautiful illustrations come straight from the DVF studio giving the book the DVF touch. Morton's books are perfect for the young at heart and for those of us who love fashion as well as the fantasy world of fairy tales. After all a true designer never grows up nor leaves the lands that our imagination creates as children. These books are the perfect addition to your home library or the perfect books to begin a collection.
Check out Morton's other books too Christian Lacroix and the Tale of Sleeping Beauty and Manolo Blahnik and the Tale of The Elves & the Shoemaker.

Monday Muse: Olivia Palermo
Olivia Palermo has some of the most impeccable taste I have ever seen. Whether she is jet setting in St. Barth's, shopping in NYC or attending a social event she is always put together to a T. I would love the chance to raid her closet and gain access to those girly frocks, amazing jewelry collection, sky high heels, and of course her Birkin's.
